bistro kitchens
I'm looking for ideas to decorate my kitchen in a French style bistro nothing expensive. Any ideas?

I live in an apartment so I can not do something important. Some websites on decorating ideas would be great.

Nothin big,,, hmm. You can ask questions on tiled floor, and do it in some form of clay that would give the appearnce of a cafe inside and outside. An iron very simple, forged, etc,,, ice cream type of table and lounge chairs in your choice of color. Bright colors or muted It's your choice. Photos / real or reproductions of menus, advertisements, etc., dealing with French products. A sign of a popular French bistro or multiple. Blankets of book, poster books, theater signs, etc etc etc shelves above eye level filled with objects that relate to your topic. Reverend Steven

Any tips for becoming a good cook food services online?

Hello. The recently hired as a cook at a small chain @ chic bistro in a bookstore. They serve breakfast items and sandwhiches, salads, desserts and quiches etc. too many courses. No fryers that I saw on my shift of first aid training. Last year I graduated from a course of 10 weeks recovery. However, they only small and egg breakfast and ommelettes 2 times. and that was for the general running of the public and make an order (free, I amy add). We made a lots of other things. This was mainly that like cooking for 20 -30 people though. Not in a hurry as a line of restaurant. I have some cooking pans, pantries and fast if the experience of advanced food. Any advice would be great! Also headed by a middle-aged mother looks very nice. Not your typical 20 animals part of something that you isolate if you do not join the band.

Congratulations on the job! And the scale of the food service course. I would say that you must apply what you learned in class as best you can. Most things that will be deferred like health issues and basic cooking methods. Always keep the health topics you learned in class in your work and home cooking. During the demos for my head and barbecue grilling classes cross-contamination is always an issue. I tell people the demos they prefer to remember a big dinner and party to remember to send all your friends to the emergency. So, in summary, I think you're good. That said never be afraid to ask your chef, line chef head, chief or whatever the person above you. In this case, simply say Have you noticed that they have made omelettes a little different than you and have been taught. And would like you to meet their standards and customer expectations. You can either ask for some advice in a manner flattering or wait for someone to underline that omelets are not your speed. You can ask for some advice, or spend some money on a dozen eggs and some ingredients used in the workplace then invite some friends during eating a lot of omelettes while you practice. Almost everything I learned to cook over the years has come to ask me a chef, cook, a pit master, an uncle by the grill, grandmother of someone that makes a great pie. Do not be afraid to ask and always look for an opportunity to learn a master, even if it's a nice middle-aged mother. A place where you can acquire additional skills is Volunteer for organizations such as the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary program kitchen, cooking disasters the Red Cross, a local church or shelter. You provide a service, giving back to the community and learn to turn to fast food. You can improve the quality of food these organizations are to serve. I hope this helps and good luck with your future kitchen. – Kent
